MeanMamaw

Currently a full-time housewife, I have been a receptionist / secretary, customer service representative / data entry for a publishing house, a Desk Clerk for a Hotel, currently still licensed as a Pharmacy Technician - though I left that in 2013 for a break from employment outside the home. I have worked in food service, (the big McDonald's, Subway, and even a small "mom & pop" type Bistro, and another "mom & pop" custom cake and candy maker. I have also worked in daycare and been a private daycare provider - (babysitter for 1 child). I have done sales such as being an Avon Rep. as well as other door-to-door type sales. I have worked in a factory as a machine operator - where I met the wonderful man, Rod Hofstetter - to whom I am married. That was 30 years ago... So I am sort of a jack of all trades as far as employment goes. Having worked wherever it "worked" best for my family at the time. Giving me much in the way of experience with the public and world in general. Though my own travels have only been within the U.S., Canada and the border towns in Mexico. Someday I do hope to take my camera out of these areas and cross the big ponds to more exotic areas to snap a few photos.

My most important jobs have been that of wife, mother and now grandmother. I am a New Testament Christian, you will not find any of my photography to have offensive material.

The "Mean Mamaw" title was earned by tormenting my youngest granddaughter - chasing her around telling her "Mean Mamaw was going to get her" etc. She ended up thinking my name was "Mean Mamaw" and so it is. There is more about that on my Pheed or other sites.

What else can I say about me... I would say my heroes are John Lennon and Yoko Ono, I would include the rest of the Beatles there as well, George, Paul, Ringo... plus I love to hear Ringo talk. :-) I like to read.. especially Stephen King, Anne Rice, George R.R. Martin, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle , J.R.R. Tolkien and others. Though the book I read (and try to read daily) is the Bible. (KJV). I like to crochet, and do other little crafty things, organizing is a passion and obsession... I love to change things around and make things more organized and better functioning. I am sort of O.C.D. And of course I love photography. That is the passion I hope to share here!
